„Climate-neutral"
Annex I No. 4c UCPD as amended by EmpCo (EU 2024/825)
What does it mean?
The term "climate-neutral" suggests that a product or company has no negative impact on the climate. From 27 September 2026, this term is prohibited if it is based on CO₂ offsetting. The per-se prohibition applies regardless of whether offsetting certificates have actually been purchased.
